Job Overview

We are seeking a caring and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Improving Lives In-Home Care. As a Support Worker, you will provide assistance and support to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable populations, such as seniors or individuals with disabilities. You will be responsible for providing personal care, household tasks, and companionship to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Household Tasks: Prepare meals, do laundry, and perform light housekeeping duties.
  • Companionship: Spend time with clients, engage in conversations, and provide emotional support.
  • Behavioral Support: Implement behavior management programs to support clients with challenging behaviors.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience working in a related field.
  • Skillset: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and physically demanding.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.

Work Environment

Our clients live in group homes, and you will be required to travel to various locations throughout the day. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.
