Aftermarket Parts Engineering Manager

At Alstom, we are seeking a highly skilled Aftermarket Parts Engineering Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality parts solutions for the rail industry.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent communication skills, and experience in managing teams. They will be responsible for designing, verifying, and validating parts solutions for over 300 contracts, ensuring they meet customer specifications and industry standards.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
- Effectively communicating with upper management through KPIs and presentations.
- Applying knowledge to design, verify, and validate parts solutions.
- Actively participating in the growth of the Parts & Components business and reducing the backlog.
- Ensuring all parts proposals meet customer specifications.
- Being thoroughly familiar with project specifications and requirements.
- Interfacing with customers through meetings, site visits, and presentations.
- Maintaining knowledge of rail, mechanical, and electrical-electronic norms and standards.
- Leading bids proposals for repair, redesign, and overhaul of electrical equipment and other parts.
- Leading process improvement initiatives to optimize workflow.
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Qualifications required for this job include:
- Excellent communication skills and leadership experience.
- More than 10 years of experience in rail industry standards and design or similar industry products.
- More than 5 years of experience in Aftermarket, Reverse Engineering, and/or Repair.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Project Management experience.
- Knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment.
- Proficient in the use of mechanical and electrical/electronic design tools, MS Office, SAP, GSI, and Maximo.
- Knowledge of Alstom Design for Quality processes.
