Aftermarket Electrical Mechanical Specialist

Job Summary:
Alstom is seeking a skilled Electrical Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Mississauga (CA) or Naperville (US). The successful candidate will apply their expertise to design, verify, and validate parts solutions for obsolete OEM parts in the rail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply electrical and electronic knowledge to design, verify, and validate parts solutions for obsolete OEM parts.
- Reverse engineer or develop obsolescence solutions, work on system overhaul proposals, and develop technical documentation for suppliers.
- Provide assembly/repair instructions, new design drawings, and develop all required documentation.
- Review vendor technical proposals to ensure compliance with specifications and product safety.
Requirements:
- University or Technical College degree in Railway Engineering, Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5 years of industry-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of rolling stock systems and components.
- Knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment.
- Proficient in the use of electrical/electronics design tools, MS Office, PDM, SAP, GSI, and Maximo.
