Job Summary

We are seeking a Highly Skilled Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technologist II to work independently or as part of the clinical team, providing technical support and maintenance for complex medical equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform assurance testing, maintenance, and repair of complex medical, biomedical, and electronic devices or systems
• Prioritize, schedule, and manage assigned workload effectively
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless integration of medical equipment into clinical settings
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, standards, and regulations
• Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
• Provide excellent customer service and support to end-users

Requirements:
• Diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology from an accredited Institute of Technology
• Active or eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET)
• Proven experience in medical equipment/technology support and related fields
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel within Alberta, Canada, and internationally for training and equipment support
