We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our Mental Health and Addictions Intake team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in advancing the priorities of our portfolio by supporting the development and implementation of assigned MHA Intake program services and initiatives.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's degree in health or a related field
- Eligibility for registration with a relevant health or professional discipline/college or association
- 3-5 years of recent and related progressive leadership experience, with a strong background in mental health and addictions an asset
- A strong working knowledge of mental health/addictions care delivery systems in hospital and community settings
- Evidence of commitment to a healthy workplace and the use of best practices in building/sustaining staff competencies, ensuring good communication and involvement of staff and clients/residents in decisions that affect them
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective collaborative relationships and partnerships with stakeholders
- Strong human resource management, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Flexibility and creativity to meet the challenges in a dynamically changing environment
- Demonstrated understanding of and champion of family-centered care
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and enhanced customer service
- Ability to identify and report budgetary pressures to the manager and assist in identifying mitigation strategies to keep spending within budget
This is a permanent full-time position, with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule. Travel may be required, and you must have access to reliable transportation.
Compensation and IncentivesThe successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $51.53. They may also be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
