About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Manager to join our Mental Health and Addictions Intake Leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing priorities of the portfolio by supporting the ongoing development and implementation of assigned MHA Intake program services and initiatives. This role requires a strong working knowledge of mental health and addictions care delivery systems in hospital and community settings.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in health or a related field, and eligible for registration with a relevant health or professional discipline. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of recent and related progressive leadership experience, with a strong understanding of family-centered care and commitment to quality improvement. The successful candidate will also have excellent human resource management, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain effective collaborative relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of assigned MHA Intake program services and initiatives
  • Ensure the effective and efficient use of human, fiscal, and material resources in the delivery of quality client-centered care
  • Collaborate with the Provincial Manager of Intake and the Provincial Clinical Practice Lead to implement initiatives to support standardization and advancement of person-centered services within each of the Zones of Nova Scotia Health
