Responsibilities

  • Assemble a team of consultants to prepare municipal submission applications
  • Review design drawings prepared by consulting teams
  • Coordinate municipal applications with planning consultants
  • Meet with municipal staff, politicians, and local ratepayers
  • Make presentations to municipal committees and council as required
  • Negotiate details of municipal approvals with municipal staff
  • Initiate preparation of legal municipal agreements
  • Support building permit review process to ensure timely issuance
  • Liaise with construction department during development phase
  • Coordinate implementation of off-site infrastructure improvements
  • Assist construction department with project budgets and costs related to municipal requirements
  • Liaise with real estate department to ensure vendor or landlord commitments are realized
  • Manage consultant resources to ensure efficiency and delivery of capital plan

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in planning or related field
  • 5 years minimum experience in planning and municipal approvals
  • Able to drive to meetings and sites

This is a full-time position located at our head office in Brampton, ON. We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth.
