About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at The Labrador Inn. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our food and beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Prepare and submit reports on food inventory, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that customer needs are met and exceeded through excellent communication and service delivery.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other relevant data.
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates for food and beverage operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Setting
    • Hotel, motel, or resort environment.
  • Physical Demands
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
    • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Client focus and excellent oral communication skills.
    • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Team player with excellent leadership and supervision skills.
