About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at The Labrador Inn. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Hire and manage food service staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, including food handling, preparation, and presentation.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food service operations run smoothly and efficiently.
    • Prepare and submit reports on food service operations, including sales, inventory, and customer feedback.
    • Manage food and beverage inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
