About the Role

This is a key leadership position within Scotiabank's Operations team, responsible for driving performance improvement and operational excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive a performance improvement-based culture, focusing on reconciliations and data quality.
  • Participate in cross-functional working committees to ensure effective escalation and remediation of data-related issues.
  • Manage assigned projects and initiatives, including project artifacts and reporting to executive leadership.
  • Design and implement central offices for technology adoption, establishing governance and best practices to drive efficiency.
  • Support numerous projects requiring reconciliation engagement and participation.
  • Develop a quality control function to measure output and increase efficiency.
  • Review and analyze current cash reconciliation processes and data inputs, identifying opportunities for automation.
  • Document existing KPI/KRI metrics and determine future state, partnering with stakeholders and data teams to produce business intelligence.
  • Ensure all processes and rules are documented in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Create an environment that fosters effective and efficient operations, ensuring adherence to business controls and risk management frameworks.
Requirements
  • University degree in Finance, Business, or related studies.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Capital Markets and/or Project Management.
  • Excellent understanding of capital markets, operational processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prior experience in a change-oriented role within Operations or Technology.
  • Excellent communication and conflict-management skills.
