Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Secretary to provide secretarial and administrative support to our team. The successful candidate will maintain a line of accountability to their assigned areas in matters relating to the day-to-day functions of the position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to a multi-disciplinary team, including maintaining records management systems and classifying and coding electronic and hard-copy files.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Databases to perform various administrative duties.
  • Deal with sensitive and confidential information using a balanced, unbiased approach to performance of job duties.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or recognized equivalent.
  • Formal training in applied office skills is required with an understanding of medical terminology.
  • Two (2) years secretarial experience in a health/medical related environment.
Working Conditions

This is a term position with a 0.80 FTE. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy, organize heavy workloads under pressure, and meet deadlines while multi-tasking.
