We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Clerk to join our team at Brar Sweets & Restaurant. As a Financial Clerk, you will be responsible for performing various accounting and bookkeeping tasks.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have 1 year of experience in accounting and bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of manual and computerized bookkeeping systems. They will be responsible for calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, fixed assets and depreciation, as well as maintaining general ledgers and financial statements.

In addition, the Financial Clerk will be responsible for posting journal entries, preparing statistical, financial and accounting reports, tax returns, trial balance of books, and reconciling accounts.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be organized, and have efficient interpersonal skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • College diploma or CEGEP certificate in a related field
  • 1 year of experience in accounting and bookkeeping
  • Strong understanding of manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
