We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specifications Coordinator to join our team at Diamond Schmitt Architects in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical focus and a minimum of 5 years' experience in the development of technical documentation, including construction specifications.

The successful candidate will have well-rounded architectural experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy office environment. They will be responsible for working with project teams and external specification writers to develop project-specific project manuals, researching and documenting materials, products, and construction methods, and ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.

The Specifications Coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating with various disciplines and integrating their requirements, assisting in preparing bid documents and reviewing contractor bids, communicating with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors, and keeping specifications up to date with code changes and industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or Architectural Engineering, and 5 years' experience in the development of technical documentation, including construction specifications. Designation as a Registered Specification Writer or Certified Specification Practitioner is an advantage.
