**Job Summary**

The Manitoba Metis Federation is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Case Worker to join our team. As a Case Worker, you will play a critical role in providing support and services to our clients, working under the direction of the Program Manager and Case Manager.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement individualized case plans that address their unique needs and goals.
  • Provide culturally sensitive and trauma-informed support to clients, utilizing a Housing First approach.
  • Facilitate individual and group activities, such as counseling sessions and Sharing Circles, to promote client well-being and empowerment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community-based resources and services to ensure clients have access to necessary support.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and investigations to identify client needs and develop effective solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement strategies to improve client outcomes and service delivery.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in front-line case management.
  • Knowledge of community-based resources and how to access them.
  • Knowledge of addictions, attachment, mental health, and trauma, and how it impacts families.
  • Knowledge of Child and Family Services, Employment & Income Assistance, and other related systems.
  • Strong assessment skills and experience conducting investigations.
  • Experience working in a not-for-profit organization and Indigenous community is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Métis culture, MMF programs, and services is a definite asset.
  • Ability to travel and valid Manitoba Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
