Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Operations Manager to join our team at 2618532 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our automotive service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities
    • Direct and supervise a team of automotive service technicians and support staff
    • Coordinate and schedule service activities to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Recruit and Hire Staff
    • Recruit, hire, and train new staff members to join our team
    • Develop and implement effective staffing strategies to meet business needs
  • Estimate and Manage Costs
    • Estimate costs and materials required for service activities
    • Manage and control costs to ensure profitability
  • Operate Computer Systems
    • Operate computer-aided design (CADD) and other software systems to support service activities
  • Ensure Health and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards
  • Recommend Personnel Actions
    • Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions
  • Requisition Materials
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Establish Work Schedules
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
    • Physically demanding work environment
    • Tight deadlines and high level of organization required
  • Personal Suitability
    • Client-focused and able to work effectively with customers
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a changing work environment
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role
