Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Operations Manager to join our team at Mr. Lube Brantford. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising workers and projects, coordinating and scheduling activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of our service department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and motivate a team of service technicians to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality workmanship.
  • Coordinate and schedule service appointments, repairs, and maintenance activities to meet customer needs and deadlines.
  • Recruit, train, and develop service technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Estimate costs and materials for service repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Operate computer-aided design (CADD) and other software systems to manage service operations and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support service operations.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the automotive service industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to estimate costs and materials.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
