Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at the East India Company Restaurant Ottawa West. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.
About the Role- This is a permanent full-time position offering 30-40 hours of work per week.
- The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in managing restaurant operations, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
- You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant, including food preparation, customer service, inventory management, and employee supervision.
- BALANCE CASH AND COMPLETE BALANCE SHEETS, CASH REPORTS, AND RELATED FORMS: Ensure accurate financial records and maintain a clean and organized cash handling system.
- CONDUCT PERFORMANCE REVIEWS: Regularly evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and implement coaching and training programs as needed.
- COST PRODUCTS AND SERVICES: Analyze menu costs, negotiate supplier contracts, and optimize pricing strategies to maximize profit margins.
- ENFORCE PROVINCIAL/TERRITORIAL LIQUOR LEGISLATION AND REGULATIONS: Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, ensuring a safe and responsible drinking environment.
- ORGANIZE AND MAINTAIN INVENTORY: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory systems, and minimize waste to ensure efficient use of resources.
- EVALUATE DAILY OPERATIONS: Conduct regular walkthroughs, address any issues, and make adjustments as needed to maintain high standards of service and quality.
- SUPERVISE A TEAM OF 3-10 EMPLOYEES: Lead, motivate, and develop your team to achieve excellent customer satisfaction, sales growth, and operational efficiency.
- MANGE YOUR TIME EFFECTIVELY: Prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and meet deadlines to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college or CEGEP certificate preferred.
- Proven experience in a restaurant management role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and other relevant technologies.
