About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Knock Together Builders Inc. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support
    • Coordinate and arrange seminars, conferences, and other events
    • Manage and control daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient use of resources
    • Receive and distribute mail, packages, and other materials
    • Plan and control budgets and expenditures, ensuring accurate financial management
    • Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars, and conferences
    • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring timely and effective communication
    • Answer telephone calls and relay messages, providing excellent customer service
    • Respond to employee inquiries and complaints, resolving issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Office Management
    • Order office supplies and maintain inventory, ensuring a well-stocked and organized workspace
    • Arrange travel, itineraries, and make reservations, as needed
    • Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate contacts or service areas
    • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
  • Computer and Technology Skills
    • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word, with ability to learn new software and systems
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees
  • Support for Youths
    • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
  • Support for Visible Minorities
    • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities
  • Language and Work Environment
    • Fluent in English, with ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced office environment
    • Work in a dynamic and diverse team, with a focus on creating a welcoming and inclusive work environment
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment opportunity
  • 30 hours per week
