About the Role

Ontario Health is committed to advancing Indigenous health equity and promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Indigenous Health Equity and Coordination team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to advance Indigenous health equity and promote cultural safety within Ontario Health.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and coordination.
  • Provide leadership and expertise to internal and external partners to ensure that Indigenous health needs are addressed and that programs and services are culturally relevant and accessible.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that Ontario Health is meeting its commitments to Indigenous health equity.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure that Indigenous health equity is integrated into all aspects of Ontario Health's work.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a health-related field or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations.
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous health issues, cultural safety, and health equity.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
