Job Title: Warehouse Operator

Thales is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operator to join our team in Halifax, Canada. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient flow of materials through the warehouse and dockyard to support ship maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and inspecting incoming materials and documentation, processing receipts, and tracking shipments.
  • Preparing domestic, US, and international outgoing freight in accordance with packaging specifications, completing documentation and labeling, and complying with customs and export requirements.
  • Processing requisitions, issuing, picking, packaging, and moving materials, and distributing parts for customer delivery.
  • Managing inventory control functions, including cycle counting, stocktaking tasks, and investigations, as well as monitoring stocking levels and shelf-life inventory.
  • Coordinating and recording the movement of material assets, including shipping requirements, tracking freight, and resolving frustrated cargo situations.
  • Operating delivery vehicles, forklifts, and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading transport vehicles and containers, and maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the work areas.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a logistics environment, with a proven track record of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Previous experience using SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Canadian Export and Import Permits Act.
  • Familiarization with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures.
