Job Summary

North York General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our Ambulatory Care team. As a key member of our inter-professional healthcare team, you will provide safe, effective, and ethical care to patients with complex diabetes needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on healthy eating habits and diabetes management
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement evidence-based care initiatives
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of program goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited program
  • Registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator
  • Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in diabetes management and education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
