This is a remote position for an experienced Heritage Permit Holder and Field Director to lead archaeological projects in various locations across BC.

Our client, a natural and cultural heritage resource management company, offers competitive wages, benefits, training, and professional development opportunities.

The successful candidate will provide leadership in project management, client services, and technical expertise in archaeology. Key responsibilities include leading field work, supervising crews, collecting data, preparing reports, proposals, and collaborating with colleagues, clients, professionals, First Nations, and stakeholders.

Requirements include meeting Archaeology Branch requirements for Permit Holder or Field Director, working long hours in physically demanding field conditions, maintaining accurate records, communicating effectively, being results-oriented, detail-focused, and possessing excellent writing skills. A valid driver's license and ability to safely operate snowmobiles, ATVs, or UTVs as required are also necessary.

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $70,000-$90,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of archaeological practices.
