We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil/Water Resources Engineer to drive business growth and lead challenging projects at Klohn Crippen Berger.

Role Overview

In this technical project management role, you will develop leadership and team management skills while advancing your career through on-the-job training and mentoring junior staff. You will work closely with clients to develop relationships and support them through project phases.

About the Job
  • Manage multiple small projects ( approximating $100,000 in consulting fees) as opportunities arise.
  • Develop client relationships through collaborative working and supportive project delivery.
  • Participate in business development and planning activities.
  • Manage time and resources effectively to deliver projects efficiently.

As a successful candidate, you will be managing multiple projects and project teams within a year, having learned new technical skills, helping resource allocation, and working on at least one proposal.

Daily Responsibilities

Key daily responsibilities include:

  • Managing project execution and timely completion by tracking scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Formulating designs, detailed calculations, reports, drawings, project specifications, and construction cost estimates.
  • Delegating tasks to junior staff and being responsible for their work.
  • Building technical skills through continued professional development, on-the-job training, and involvement in technical societies and associations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of related project experience in Water Resources Engineering.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including proposal writing, technical reporting, and construction specification writing.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is between $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on the location and job requirements.
