Director of Indigenous Workforce Experience

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Director Indigenous Workforce Experience - Strategic Partnerships to join our team. This role plays a pivotal part in promoting an inclusive and supportive work environment for Indigenous staff within VCH.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with People Team leaders and Indigenous Health leadership to develop comprehensive Indigenous workforce experience strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement policies and programs addressing the unique well-being and inclusivity needs of Indigenous employees.
- Advocate for system-level transformation initiatives and develop culturally relevant support systems, wellness programs, and resources for Indigenous employees.
- Provide consultation and advice on program effectiveness and make recommendations for adjusting strategies as needed.
- Develop inclusive recruitment strategies to attract, hire, and onboard Indigenous talent, working with VCH Talent Acquisition to establish relationships with community programs and post-secondary institutions.
- Provide expertise on culturally safe approaches and methodologies for collecting data on diversity metrics and candidate/employee feedback.
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, or relevant discipline.
- Five years' recent experience in managing strategic and operational change initiatives and facilitating consultation with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with Indigenous organizations and developing relationships with Indigenous communities.
- In-depth understanding of Indigenous Cultural Safety and Indigenous cultures within Vancouver Coastal Health's service region.
