Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Director of Indigenous Workforce Experience - Strategic Partnerships to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with People Team leaders and Indigenous Health leadership to develop comprehensive Indigenous workforce experience strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement policies and programs addressing the unique well-being and inclusivity needs of Indigenous employees.
- Lead initiatives to address systemic inequities in areas such as access to career pathways, professional development, and education.
- Provide consultation and advice on program effectiveness and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Develop inclusive recruitment strategies to attract, hire, and onboard Indigenous talent.
- Provide expertise on culturally safe approaches and methodologies for collecting diversity metrics and candidate/employee feedback.
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Five years of recent experience in managing strategic and operational change initiatives and facilitating consultation with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with Indigenous organizations and communities, with a strong understanding of Indigenous Cultural Safety and Indigenous cultures within Vancouver Coastal Health's service region.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with key internal and external partners to promote and enhance services with sensitivity to diversity and Indigenous perspectives.
- Practices recognition, inclusion, and support of all types and aspects of diversity, with an understanding of the issues faced by people from equity-deserving groups.
- Strong understanding of relevant employment legislation and cultural sensitivity in a professional environment.
