Senior Administrative Coordinator, Fire Safety and Compliance

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Administrative Coordinator to join our Fire & Life Safety Department in Guelph, Ontario.
About the JobThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to provide administrative support to our team, assisting with fire safety planning, compliance, and operations. As a key member of our department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our fire safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Fire & Life Safety Specialist, including developing and coordinating fire safety plans, tracking inspection paperwork, and maintaining detailed systems for organization and documentation.
- Collaborate with city officials, fire prevention officers, and building/property managers to ensure fire safety planning is up-to-date and compliant with current practices, regulations, and codes.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date fire safety plans, technical information, drawings, and other related documents.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for fire safety-related tasks.
- Work closely with the Fire & Life Safety Specialist to create and organize training programs related to fire safety equipment and systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in administrative roles, preferably in a fire safety or compliance environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
