The Business Development Associate is a highly motivated self starter, with a talent for identifying opportunities, generating leads, and maintaining relationships throughout long sales cycles. They are organized, personable and creative. The Business Development Associate supports the Director of Business Development, with administrative support, research and national pipeline coverage.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to research market trends and develop white papers.
- Aid in gathering prospect data for quarterly meetings.
- Research, draft, and present future opportunity targets based on contract availability.
- Identify entry points for targeted market penetration.
- Assist in organizing meeting materials, reserving conference rooms, and coordinating audio-visual aids in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Manage comprehensive bi-weekly tracking reports to monitor the status of leads and future opportunities.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations and documents for prospective clients.
- Lead meetings periodically in new and emerging territories and markets.
- Monitor and communicate upcoming local trade shows of interest.
- Assist in organizing, conducting outreach, and coordinating customer appreciation events.

**Additional Responsibilities**
- Support the sales team in assembling and collecting documentation for RFP/RFQ submissions.
- Assist the marketing team in communicating the CFLS narrative.
- Communicate with prospective clients routinely.
- Maintain spreadsheets as required.
- Prepare reports as needed.
- Provide administrative support to Director of Business Development as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Capable of prioritizing tasks, handling multiple assignments simultaneously, thriving in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, and collaborating effectively within a team.
- Skilled in persuasive communication, with the ability to convey information clearly both internally and externally.
- Exhibits confidence in leading high profile meetings.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, being friendly and outgoing with both staff and customers.
- Experience in sales and/or administration is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and experience in a complex high demand environment.
- Relationship management, partnership building, collaboration skills to work effectively with various internal/external stakeholders and functional groups.
