Job Title: Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Colonial Countertops Ltd. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles in various settings, including residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring, marking, and cutting tiles as needed.
  • Set tiles in place, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on tile installation techniques.
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets as required.
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite tiles.
  • Install tile strips and ensure a seamless finish.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in tile installation.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
