About the Role

VON Canada (Nova Scotia) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Care Manager to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care services to clients.

Job Description

The Regional Care Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of client care services, managing staff performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and VON policies. This includes directing and monitoring the day-to-day functions and performance of front-line staff, conducting risk assessments, and participating in quality improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care services to clients
  • Oversee the implementation of VON's strategic plan and ensure alignment with regional goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, VON policies, and procedures
  • Manage staff performance, including coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, including data analysis and report writing
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in a related field, such as nursing or healthcare administration
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership or management role in healthcare
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing healthcare services
