We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EDI Manager to join our team at Engineers and Geoscientists BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our organization's efforts in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and Truth and Reconciliation (T&R) initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement EDI Strategy
Develop and lead the execution of action plans in the areas of EDI and T&R based on the strategy developed, including overseeing the daily work and the formal performance management of the EDI Coordinator.
Support EDI Volunteer GroupsSupport the organization's EDI volunteer groups and represent Engineers and Geoscientists BC in Engineers Canada's 30 by 30 Networks and Working Groups. This includes volunteer management, agenda and material development for meetings, presentation development, etc.
Act as Subject Matter ExpertAct as the organization's subject matter expert in the areas of EDI and T&R. As such, keep abreast of leading practices and research in support of EDI and T&R.
Develop EDI ContentDevelop content with the Communications department for communication channels to consistently inform registrants and staff about EDI and T&R initiatives, educational materials, resources, and progress in implementing the action plans in these areas.
Collect and Analyze EDI DataLead the organization in the collection, analysis and reporting of EDI and T&R data to measure trends.
Provide EDI Advice and GuidanceProvide advice, guidance and subject matter expertise to staff, registrants and volunteers in the areas of EDI and T&R.
Requirements- Education
Bachelor's degree is required.
Experience5+ years experience leading organizational EDI initiatives or programs. 5+ years experience in research and best practices related to EDI. 3+ years experience in working with Indigenous Peoples and in issues of Truth and Reconciliation. 3+ years experience providing leadership and direction to direct reports, including coaching / mentoring and overseeing performance.
SkillsExperience supporting diversity, equity and inclusion efforts at an organization, regulatory body or professional services firm. Demonstrated knowledge of workplace inclusion concepts and methodologies. Demonstrated knowledge of Truth & Reconciliation with Indigenous People in Canada. Skills in data analysis, report writing, developing and facilitating education / training, and project management.
What We OfferThis role offers a competitive compensation and benefits program including a salary within our hiring range of $95,000 to $106,000. Placement within the hiring range will be based on candidate experience relative to the requirements of the role. Additional details on our generous benefit offerings are found below.
