About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives and Truth and Reconciliation (T&R) efforts. As the Manager, EDI and T&R, you will play a key role in shaping our organization's strategic plan and implementing initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement EDI and T&R Strategies: Collaborate with the Associate Director, EDI to define the organization's role in EDI and T&R initiatives and develop a comprehensive strategy to achieve our goals.
  2. Lead EDI and T&R Programs: Develop and execute action plans to promote EDI and T&R, including overseeing the daily work and performance management of the EDI Coordinator.
  3. Support EDI Volunteer Groups: Manage volunteer groups, develop agendas and materials for meetings, and represent the organization in Engineers Canada's 30 by 30 Networks and Working Groups.
  4. Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the organization's subject matter expert in EDI and T&R, staying up-to-date on leading practices and research in these areas.
  5. Communications and Reporting: Develop content with the Communications department to inform registrants and staff about EDI and T&R initiatives, educational materials, resources, and progress.
  6. Data Collection and Analysis: Lead the organization in collecting, analyzing, and reporting EDI and T&R data to measure trends.
  7. Advice and Guidance: Provide advice, guidance, and subject matter expertise to staff, registrants, and volunteers on EDI and T&R matters.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  2. Experience: 5+ years of experience leading organizational EDI initiatives or programs, 5+ years of experience in research and best practices related to EDI, and 3+ years of experience working with Indigenous Peoples and in issues of Truth and Reconciliation.
  3. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, data analysis and report writing, project management, and experience supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including a salary within our hiring range of $95,000 to $106,000. Placement within the hiring range will be based on candidate experience relative to the requirements of the role. Additional details on our generous benefit offerings are available.
