Your OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Municipal Infrastructure Development Engineer to join our team in Edmonton. This is a unique chance to work on municipal engineering projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage municipal engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery
- Perform design, construction site inspections, and contract administration duties with precision and attention to detail
- Develop and review engineering design drawings, specifications, and contract documents, adhering to industry standards
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and satisfaction
- Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines, fostering collaboration and open communication
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and membership with APEGA
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in municipal engineering, preferably with hands-on experience in construction observation and contract administration
- Working knowledge of water and wastewater distribution and collection systems, including infrastructure assessments and studies
- Proficiency in computer software for modeling and spreadsheet analysis, enabling efficient data processing and decision-making
- Demonstrated aptitude for general construction methods and techniques, ensuring effective project execution
- Strong business acumen and understanding of municipal infrastructure projects, allowing for informed decision-making and strategic planning
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere, promoting open communication and mutual respect
- Self-motivated with leadership potential, driving project success and inspiring team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating clear and concise information exchange
