Your Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Municipal Infrastructure Development Engineer to join our team in Edmonton. This is a unique chance to work on municipal engineering projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage municipal engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery
  • Perform design, construction site inspections, and contract administration duties with precision and attention to detail
  • Develop and review engineering design drawings, specifications, and contract documents, adhering to industry standards
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and satisfaction
  • Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines, fostering collaboration and open communication
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and membership with APEGA
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in municipal engineering, preferably with hands-on experience in construction observation and contract administration
  • Working knowledge of water and wastewater distribution and collection systems, including infrastructure assessments and studies
  • Proficiency in computer software for modeling and spreadsheet analysis, enabling efficient data processing and decision-making
  • Demonstrated aptitude for general construction methods and techniques, ensuring effective project execution
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of municipal infrastructure projects, allowing for informed decision-making and strategic planning
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere, promoting open communication and mutual respect
  • Self-motivated with leadership potential, driving project success and inspiring team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating clear and concise information exchange
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Additionally, you can expect:
