Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Civil/Municipal Engineer to join our client's team in Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in water drainage, water systems, and sewer systems.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement engineering solutions to address drainage issues and enhance water and sewer system performance.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for proposed projects.
  • Oversee the planning, designing, and construction of municipal infrastructure projects to ensure efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare and present project reports, budgets, and schedules to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and inspect existing systems to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.


Required Skills and Qualifications


The ideal candidate will possess:



  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • APEGA Certification or working towards certification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in municipal engineering, with a focus on water drainage, water systems, and sewer systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as Civil 3D and SolidWorks.
  • Strong knowledge of local, provincial, and federal regulations related to water and sewer systems.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
