Catering Management Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at GWALIA CATERING AND BANQUETS - CALGARY. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities- Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, estimate ingredient and supply requirements, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Operations: Establish methods to meet work schedules, prepare budget and cost estimates, and maintain accurate records of sales and expenses.
- Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure high levels of performance.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
- Work Setting: Food service establishment, restaurant, or catering environment.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, and attention to detail.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and team player.
