About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Visionary Catering. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules and deadlines.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Staff Management
    • Hire and manage food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet performance expectations.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on food service operations, including sales, stock, and wastage.
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates for food service operations.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely and efficient service.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Client focus, flexibility, and team player.
Working Conditions

35 to 40 hours per week, permanent position.
