Job Summary:

Barrick is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and systems in our plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime and ensure safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the plant and minimize disruptions.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and other personnel on electrical systems and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering Technologist or equivalent experience.
  • Industrial electrical certification (Red Seal) an asset.
  • Experience with GE, DC Drives, GE PLC Systems and Auto CAD.
  • Approximately five years of technical experience.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.
