Electrical Maintenance Planner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Planner to join our team at Barrick. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that maintenance technicians have the necessary tools, parts, and supporting documents to complete scheduled work orders in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and impact on production.
- Utilize planning index to prioritize work within the facility and identify the proper resources, tools, and materials needed.
- Review approved work notifications through the CMMS to ensure requests meet minimum requirements of a work order.
- Provide detailed work plans on documented work orders for non-urgent maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Stores to order and reserve materials.
- Scope work orders to estimate cost, labor, materials, equipment, and special tool requirements.
- Maintain job plan libraries to support required non-routine work, projects, and overhauls via the CMMS.
- Assure that the highest standards of Environmental and Safety performance are incorporated within the Plant operations.
Requirements:
- Practical experience in maintenance industry, preferably mine related.
- 2 years' experience with computer-based maintenance planning/scheduling.
- Ability to read, understand, and maintain electrical drawings and schematics.
- Electrical certification in the Province of Ontario; preferred.
- Sound understanding of both the principals of Preventative maintenance and Maintenance planning.
- Clear understanding of the maintenance standards and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) SAP.
- Communication, leadership, and team building skills.
- Strong prioritization, organization, and reasoning skills.
- Strong electrical and some mechanical expertise in troubleshooting and problem solving.
