Electrical Maintenance Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Planner to join our team at Barrick. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that maintenance technicians have the necessary tools, parts, and supporting documents to complete scheduled work orders in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production.
- Utilize Reliability Excellence (RE) corporate and enterprise/group guidelines and procedures to plan and execute maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Stores to order and reserve materials and equipment.
- Scope work orders to estimate cost, labor, materials, equipment, and special tool requirements.
- Assure that all work is planned in a manner that meets the highest standards of Environmental and Safety performance.
- Collaborate with production activities to maintain established targets and work within budget, environment, safety, and health concerns.
- Administer consistently all systems, standards, company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to the Continuous Improvement Program by pro-active, measurable involvement.
- Optimally manage Human Resources with the help of quality, overtime, training, and development indicators.
- Practical experience in maintenance industry, preferably mine related.
- 2 years' experience with computer-based maintenance planning/scheduling.
- Ability to read, understand, and maintain electrical drawings and schematics.
- Electrical certification in the Province of Ontario; preferred.
- Sound understanding of both the principles of Preventative maintenance and Maintenance planning.
- Clear understanding of the maintenance standards and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) SAP.
- Communication, leadership, and team building skills.
- Strong prioritization, organization, and reasoning skills.
- Strong electrical and some mechanical expertise in troubleshooting and problem solving.
