Job Description:

Clinical Leadership Role: As the Clinical Lead at Wakenagun Youth Healing Lodge, you will be responsible for providing leadership in the planning and implementation of mental health services. Your role will involve collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide one-on-one counseling, supporting staff training and development, and promoting education and research.

Treatment Strategies: You will develop treatment strategies using behavioral therapy and psychotherapeutic techniques, working collaboratively with clients and their families to provide inclusive and flexible treatment plans.

Risk Assessments: Conduct comprehensive mental health and addiction clinical and risk assessments, formulate treatment and discharge plans, and provide crisis intervention when necessary.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, including healthcare providers and staff members, to achieve excellence in client and family-centered care.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have a Master's degree in Social Work or a related field, be registered with the Social Work Body, and have experience working with First Nation communities. Additionally, you must possess a valid Ontario Driver's License and be willing to travel if required. A strong understanding of legislation and government policies that relate to the service population is also essential.
