- Prepare company financial statements, month-end journal entries, and accruals.
- Conduct bank reconciliations.
- Provide monthly financial commentary to management on key movements in financial statements.
- Generate and distribute financial and operational reports with performance metrics.
- Recommend system and process improvements to enhance management and financial reports.
- Assist with annual budget preparation and quarterly forecast updates.
- Analyze variances between actuals and budget on a monthly basis.
- Conduct research on routine accounting transactions.
- Prepare and remit source deductions, payroll tax, and HST.
- Drive process efficiencies through review and enhancement.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Holders of a diploma or bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software like Quickbooks, Sage, or SAP is an advantage.
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail.
