About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Specialist to join our team at Compass Early Learning and Care. As a Nutrition Specialist, you will play a crucial role in planning, preparing, and cooking nutritious and delicious meals and snacks for our children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare menus that meet the dietary needs of our children, taking into account food allergies and sensitivities.
- Cook and prepare meals and snacks in accordance with the Canada Food Guide and Compass Early Learning and Care policies.
- Collaborate with our team of nutrition specialists to ensure the highest quality of food and service.
- Build and maintain relationships with families and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive environment.
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of all equipment, dishes, furniture, and materials.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in nutrition or a related field.
- Experience working with children and families.
- Knowledge of the Child Care Early Years Act and licensing standards.
- Food Handler's certificate and First Aid and CPR training.
