At The Institute for Performance and Learning, we're passionate about empowering individuals to reach their full potential. As a Training and Design Specialist, you'll play a vital role in shaping the learning experiences of our team members, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop engaging training programs that cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create content that's relevant, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Utilize adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to craft effective learning experiences.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including workbooks, guides, and interactive resources.
  • Deliver training sessions with confidence and enthusiasm, using effective facilitation techniques to engage participants.
  • Conduct needs analysis and identify areas for improvement, providing recommendations to enhance training programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and training delivery.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in instructional design, training delivery, or a related field.
  • Adult learning or instructional design certification an asset.
  • Experience with graphics design software (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) considered an asset.
  • Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence action and obtain information effectively and tactfully.
  • Issue management skills, including time management, decision making, and analytical skills.
  • Leadership skills, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and active listening.
  • Strong team orientation, with a focus on team success and collaboration.
