Job Title: Operating Room Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to patients in the Operating Room, Endoscopy Suite, Day Surgery, and Recovery Room
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or concerns
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Qualifications:

  • Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • BScN an asset
  • Post Graduate Course in Perioperative Nursing required
  • Membership in RNAO and CNA is an asset
  • Years of OR experience
  • Current BCLS
  • Current certificate in ACLS & PALS or willingness to obtain
  • Post Anesthetic Care Nursing certificate/course or willingness to obtain

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of patient acuity. They will be required to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
