Territory Sales Manager

At Virbac, we are seeking a results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for driving business growth in the Greater Toronto Area by leveraging resources and business planning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Performance
• Execute SMART objectives to achieve high sales results in the territory.
• Develop and execute territory business reviews to improve sales access and performance.
• Foster strong relationships with veterinary customers to provide solutions that meet their needs.
• Utilize business acumen to gain adoption of new products in target accounts.
• Demonstrate positivity and enthusiasm for building and growing business and professional relationships.
2. Territory Management
• Develop and execute strategies to drive sales and relationships in the territory.
• Promote a highly technical and innovative product portfolio to a sophisticated audience.
• Demonstrate tenacity in prospecting the territory to deepen relationships and grow sales.
• Build a network through conferences, specialty practices, and veterinary colleges.
3. Communication Skills
• Execute commercial insights to educate and close sales conversations.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to articulate technical knowledge of Virbac portfolio and competition.
• Demonstrate active listening skills to understand customer needs and wants.
• Utilize the Cambridge Calgary Communication guide and most of the 70 defined communication skills.
4. Resource Management
• Record sales activity and customer data in Salesforce accurately and in a timely manner.
• Utilize Salesforce to plan, segment, and prioritize sales efforts.
• Analyze sales results on a bi-monthly basis and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
• Host and attend events such as local VMAs, KOL dinners, conferences, and virtual events.
• Apply selling tools to analyze the territory and increase sales and customer relationships.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or RVT strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of professional-level experience with proven success in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred 2+ years of experience in a selling role: Animal Health Industry strongly preferred; experience in evidence-based medicine/scientific/medical device sales strongly preferred; past B2B sales experience.
• Proficient in learning new computer applications and experience with GSuite or MS Office.
• Must live within the territory and be willing to make appointments throughout the entire territory.
