Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $19.10 per hour. The work schedule involves a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/2 weeks off. Site locations are in remote settings, requiring either air travel to site or via ground on our shuttle. You may be required to work nights, weekdays, weekends, and general holidays.
Job Description
In this role, you will provide critical support to the culinary team in a kitchen setting. As a General Helper, you will work a variety of shifts throughout the day and act as the fuel that keeps the kitchen running smoothly. Tasks include maintaining a clean and organized workstation, regular sweeping and mopping of floors, stocking supplies, disposing of waste, and assisting in food production.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need large-scale kitchen assisting experience in camp settings, banquet halls, and/or hotels. Current Food Safe certification is an asset. You must be able to commit to a 2-week on/2-week off rotation and possess a valid government-issued photo ID for travel to site. Additionally, you will need to handle physical demands such as lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders or stairs, and standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, or sitting according to task for extended periods of time.
