Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Hospital Contact Centre Agent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Provide accurate and timely information to patients and families regarding hospital services and policies.
- Transfer calls to appropriate departments and personnel as needed.
- Respond to emergency calls and alarms in a timely and accurate manner.
- Operate the hospital's overhead PA system as per established guidelines.
- View and update online scheduling databases to accurately page medical staff.
- Process incoming emails and update on-call schedules as required.
Requirements
- Grade 12 and one year's recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Relatable experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or medical office administration.
- Ability to keyboard at 40 WPM.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism principles.
