Role Overview

As an IT Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to strategize, implement, and finalize IT projects within established timelines and budget constraints. You will collaborate with various teams, including developers, analysts, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are achieved and aligned with the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Strategy: Create comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, and resource needs, ensuring alignment with business strategies and stakeholder requirements.
  2. Implementation & Oversight: Supervise project execution, manage resources, monitor progress, and resolve any emerging issues or risks. Ensure timely completion of projects within the defined scope and budget.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing consistent updates on project status, risks, and adjustments. Facilitate meetings to manage stakeholder expectations.
  4. Team Management: Inspire and guide project teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work atmosphere. Delegate tasks, establish priorities, and offer support and direction.
  5. Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and devise strategies for mitigation. Proactively tackle challenges and modify project plans as necessary.
  6. Quality Control: Ensure that deliverables meet quality benchmarks and comply with organizational standards and best practices. Conduct evaluations post-project to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  7. Documentation: Maintain thorough project documentation, including plans, status updates, and post-project analyses. Ensure all records are precise and current.

Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
  2. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in IT project management, demonstrating a successful history of delivering complex projects. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
