Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary chronic pain team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a member of this team, you will provide leadership and support in the development, delivery, and evaluation of evidence-based chronic pain care within the biopsychosocial model.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment, diagnosis, consultation, and psychotherapy services to adults and their families
- Collaborate with other team members to triage patient care and develop individualized treatment plans
- Conduct both individual and group treatment sessions, including brief therapy
- Work collaboratively with family physicians and other service providers to provide comprehensive care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including peer supervision and clinical development
We are looking for a candidate with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized program, registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners, and a minimum of two years of related clinical experience, including one year of experience with chronic pain. Advanced psychotherapy skills and experience working in a Primary Health Care environment are preferred.
