Butcher - Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team at SEAFOOD CITY SUPERMARKET. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting meat for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Cutting and Preparing Meat: Clean and cut meats to prepare for processing or cutting, cut carcasses, sides, and quarters, and cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
- Meat Handling and Safety: Remove bones from meat, grind meats, and train meat cutters in proper handling and safety procedures.
- Customer Service: Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products, and train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Special Orders: Prepare special orders and ensure that all meat products are handled and displayed in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Supermarket/grocery store environment with relocation costs covered by employer.
- Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Cuisine Specialties: Experience with Filipino cuisine.
- Equipment and Machinery: Familiarity with band saws, manual cutting utensils, power grinders, and slicing machines.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, flexible, and a team player.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
