Key Responsibilities- Clean and Prepare Meats: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Cut and Trim Meats: Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters, as well as cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
- Wrap and Package Meats: Wrap and package prepared meats for sale, adhering to company standards.
- Remove Bones and Weigh Meats: Remove bones from meat and weigh meats for sale, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Cut Poultry and Fish: Cut poultry into parts and clean and prepare fish and shellfish for sale.
- Supervise and Train: Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Operate Equipment: Operate manual cutting utensils and power grinders, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required; 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and attention to detail.
- Language: English language proficiency required.
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, permanent position.
